Did you ever notice that when you dance, you tend to glance at everyone around you? Maybe its from insecurity, embarrassment, or even the insatiable desire to pick up new moves. Whatever it is, I think it hinders our ability to completely let go and dance the way we should: without worries, and without fear.

I am not just talking about dancing of course; I am talking about life. What would you do if no one else could see you?

I decided to put bags on the head of everyone in the class. The paper sacks would serve to protect their identity so they could be as free as they chose. I also told them to dance as hard as they could in this mock high-school soiree I created.

As soon as everyone lifted the bags from their head, I directed their attention to the main screen and showed them the film I made from their dance party. The film was made on the fly using in camera editing. I then immediately synced it to music so people could watch. Unfortunately, the footage was lost later that day due to rain.

I wanted to show that even if you feel as if know one is watching, someone always is.

It was amusing to see the people that still were self-conscious, despite having bags on their heads.
