This first project was a reflection on what I think music/sound means to me. I painted 4 sections with the 4 different meanings and a section in the middle with musical notes.

Section 1: BLUE (Peace/Tranquility)= sometimes sounds can be very calming and peaceful and help me relax or sleep. For example, ocean waves or a waterfall.

Section 2: YELLOW (Happiness)= certain sounds/beats really cheer me up and lift my spirits. For example, latin or eastern rhythms.

Section 3: RED (Love/Emotions)=many times certain sounds or songs can trigger an emotional feeling, memory, or a special someone from the past.

Section 4: GREEN (Global)= I believe music/sound is one of the few aspects in life which connects everyone in the whole world. Its language is universal and it invokes the same emotions from people of all places and nations. Listening to foreign music also helps me understand a new culture, helps me learn a new language, and is a great conversation starter.

Bonus Feature:

This painting not only can be hung on the wall but also can be used as a percussion device (by shaking or tilting the painting in the angle of your choice). Also attached are the following:
