No part of the production of "Ad-Tension" did not involve my ass planted firmly in my computer chair. All of the clips were recorded using my ATI TV Wonder tuner card. (Basically like TiVo on your computer). Everything was edited on that same computer.

The only element in the movie that did not come from TV (besides the credits, obviously) was the short guitar instrumental that plays once in the middle of the movie and again at the end. I wrote and recorded the little ditty while editing. I wanted the music to, when combined with the right pictures, create the sort of mushy nostalgic feeling commercials always try to evoke before they move in for the kill.

Here's me recording the music. (Notice how my ass is still steadfastly planted on the computer chair.)

Why the sunglasses?

Purely for looks...purely for looks.

In case I'm way too clever for you, the title "Ad Tension" is a play on words reflecting both the intended effect of my disjunctive editing and the "attention" I urge you to pay to the fucked up shit that gets shown on the telly.
