Identity

In philosophy, identity is whatever makes an entity definable and recognizable, in terms of possessing a set of qualities or characteristics that distinguish it from entities of a different type. Or, in layman's terms, identity is whatever makes something the same or different. This includes operational definition that either yields a yes or no value for whether a thing is present in a field of observation, or that distinguishes the thing from its background, allowing one to determine what is and what is not included in it. In this part of the project I examined my identity. I asked many questions such as, What is  identity?, What defines me from my twin brother?, and Does how I dress determine my identity? In the end i was not able to understand what identity truly means.

Below are four pictures of my brother and I. See if you can figure out who is who. My brother and I are to completely different people yet our appearance makes us appear to have the same identity.

Below are pictures of my brother and I in everyday setting representing various identities we can become by changing our appearance.
