Project 1:
This project grew out of a class discussion about people walking on the "edge"; the edge being a place where people's identities don't always meet and sometimes contradict each other. One of the main reasons people must walk this "edge" is society and norms tell them these identities must contradict each other. The idea that external forces can have such an impact on internal identity constructs inspired us to explore how macro-level ideas and beliefs flow through increasing numbers of micro-level organisms (human beings) to become accepted norms of society and therefore broaden and erase "edges".
