The polycybornetic victim in front of you is a postmodern representation of some of the most shocking and grotesque crime scenes ever documented. The disembowled cyborg carcass was inspired by the Richard Trenton Chase Murders. The Vampire of Sacramento cut open his victims and drained their blood as he felt he needed to drink it to survive. Other documented wierd and shocking serial murders are also represented throughout the piece. I researched some of the most hanus and shocking murders ever commited in an attempt to understand what makes people go wrong. As human beings we are all capable of such acts. So what turns a man like Berkowitz or Dahmer cross that line into what we collectivly consider the monsterous? This display should expose you to evil that is unthinkable to most. In an effort to understand the psychie of the serial killer and "how defining monster works to stabalize the definition of human." what is normal? what is abnormal? what constitutes evil? what distinguishes "us" from "them". This peice is to entice the viewer to further explore this evil side of humanity. more to be added.... |
