For my third project, I wanted to try to portray the effects of the dismemberment of women’s bodies in popular media.  I was going to do another photo project because I really enjoyed doing my first project.  Unfortunately I had a lot of problems with my camera and couldn’t get as high quality of a camera as I used with my first project.  Instead, I decided to do a collage using images from several popular magazines. 

I took images from Maxim, In Style, Vanity Fair, and GQ and layered them over the photos of me that I had.  I wanted to show myself buried under all the dismembered parts of women thrown at us by the media.

Tragically, my project went missing from the ACT Lab classroom, and I didn’t think to document my project ahead of time.  So instead of pictures of my project, all I have are testimonials from people in class:
