Here's the Project 2 with a description:
The concept that I chose from Douglas Kahn's book is simultaneity. The first half of the piece presents 3 segments which layer sounds that are intended to be interpreted by the listener. Panning and fading are utilized to enhance the effect. The second part of the project consists of textured sounds. These sounds were played for 5 friends who's reactions, thoughts, and emotions to the textures were recorded and layered on top of the textures themselves. This was done with the intention of creating simultaneity of thought. A track from Aphex Twin's Ambient Works Vol. II was used to provide connectivity to the segmentation of the piece.
