8) Something's Wrong

So what do you think this is?
I think its your life and you're already bored with it...
I know I sound like I'm preaching again, but I know you could do
So much better than this....

So where do you think you're at
You're barely waking up at five in the afternoon
I know you probably think im blaming this on that
But I know whats going on, I hope I stepped in soon enough

You're walking into a field of live ammunition
You're blinding yourself to the sounds
You're walking into a frontline battle again
I hope you'll get out...

Don't make me feel like my efforts here are in vain
Don't make me feel like every song I sing sounds the same
I know you've been hearing the same old song
And I think its because something is still wrong

So how're you gonna act?
Are you gonna help me out or stab me in the back again?
So what are you going to say?
Are you gonna tell me everything is A-OK?

You're walking into a field of live ammunition
You're blinding yourself to the sounds
You're walking into a frontline battle again
But this time its with yourself...

Don't make me feel like my efforts here are in vain
Don't make me feel like every song I sing sounds the same
I know you've been hearing the same old song
And I think its because something is still wrong

something's wrong....

So what do you think this is?
I think its you're life and you're already bored with it
So what do you think I should sing?
Should I sing songs about love? or about everything?
Finding Someplace Real Lyrics

This song went through more versions than Guns and Roses new record.  Loud rock song. Soft acoustic song.  Ended up being exactly what I wanted, and I’m extremely proud of it.  I find it interesting that when you make a statement like that in the first verse, everyone thinks you’re talking about them except for the person you really were.
