5) First Night Alone

And it's just like magic, how it all dissapeard.
Everything that I knew, everything that I feared.
But now I’m left with nothing again.

And its just like a storybook, but its not ending tonight.
Cause’ I just wanna see you, and hold you tight.
I’m left, sleeping alone again.
I’m starting over.
I’m hitting rock bottem before, I can climb back up again.
I’m starting over.
I’m hitting the floor. I’m hitting the floor again.
And its interesting how things work out and then they’ll back back down.
Like when she smiles at me its like im lifted from the ground.
And I feel so clean…
I’m starting over,
I'm hitting rock bottem before I can climb back up and
I’m staring over.
I’m hitting the floor…say it,
I’m hitting the floor again.
The Tourist Lyrics

I think this is a much more important song than I give it credit for.  I recorded it the first night I was ever on my own.  New city, no friends, no family, just a room, a guitar, and a workstation.  I spent the majority of the night finishing it, and everything except the second chorus’ vocals stayed for the final product that made the record.
