For my project I attempted to recreate an interesting NLP experiment done by entertainer Derren Brown (see links). In this experiment I asked a random subject to think about something that he would want for his birthday. I began explaining to him exactly what I was trying to do. I tell him the way I buy gifts for people is, instead of hoping I get them what they want, I replace in their mind their original gift idea with the gift I am subtly sliding into their minds. For example, when I said "Let me tell you the way I buy gifts for people...", what I actually said it "Let me tell you the way I bike gifts for people. I continued talking in a rapid rhythm and slightly touching his shoulder everytime I would say a "key-word", in an attempt to cause disorder in his train of thought. I would say things like, "you get all pumped up", or "same old two-tired bottles of wine"
and so on. This was my first time I ever attempted NLP, and I would call it a success because he asked for a motorcycle, which is similar to a bike, yes?
