A FLASH INTERPRETATION OF THE WAY THAT SUPERSTRINGS EXPERIENCE THE TEN DIMENSIONS OF SPACETIME

String theory is a branch of theoretical physics based on the idea that the smallest parts atoms are tiny strings with wave-like properties, rather than point particles. It is complicated to explain, but essentially, if string theory is correct it will mean the unification of all of physics under one fundamental system of rules that are perfect and beautifully symmetrical.

String theory seems to me to be the most modern and most plausible wierd science. It cannot be experimentally backed up, as is the requirement of "real science," yet a lot of scientists dedicate their lives to studying it and theorizing about it.

String theory assumes that the universe is in fact made up of 10 dimensions (9 spatial dimensions and 1 time dimension), rather than just the 3 spatial dimensions and 1 time dimension that we perceive. If string theory is correct, these other 6 dimensions do exist, but are too small for something as large as a human to experience. Strings, however, would be small enough to move through these dimensions.

This project is my attempt to imagine how these strings experience the other 6 dimensions, as well as the four that we know and love.
