Project #2 -
Relevant Radio
DOCUMENTATION
When initialized, my FM tuner will stop scanning for any received transmission. Pressing a button on the remote control will resume scanning. My intent that early morning was to program the tuner to some local stations. But press I did to find stations between 87.5 and 108.0MHz over and over again.

I connected my laptop to the line outputs of the amplifier and started recording in stereo with Audacity (the program, not the attitude). I later logged the speech lines and useful music cuts for editing later in Audition. However uncanny it may be, the majority of cuts I used were in the original order from the recording. There were a few exceptions, including the final "Revelant Radio" line. That change came after reviewing the "final" edit, and I felt that the closing classical music ending just dropped off a cliff. I then also changed the project title from "Uncanny Radio."

I converted the stereo tracks to mono in the final export from Adobe Audition, then built the 5.1 version (not using the .1) in Adobe Premiere.
Press the play button to hear a sample of the original
scan with lots of not so relevant radio. (0:59)
Normally I title and/or end-title my 5.1 projects and included an end-title on this one, but decided during the presentation to leave the projector blanked, so to not visually disturb the images created in the listener's minds.
