Circuit Bending.

I was at the mall with my girlfriend when thinking about my first project. I knew that i wanted to circuit bend any electronic toy, but i couldn't decide which one! I had been to every toy shop in town but nothing fit my fancy.

Finally, there it was, the Leap Frog Learn & Groove Bandstand. I could not wait to get home and start playing with it. That is until I saw that only 3 - 5 year olds could play with it. I was furious!

As I was walking back to my car I saw it. I was an electrical guitar toy, it was perfect! I wondered what it was called, or if someone else had dropped it. So I took it, and decided to keep it.

Driving back i decided to hear what kind of noise it made. As soon as I started jamming out to it I began to regret having to take it apart. It rocked pretty hard. As soon as I got home I started taking it apart. I didn't want anyone thinking I stole their lost guitar so I destroyed the case and made it a new one.

I remember Saturday telling me that circuit bending was easy, and it really was. Find the Bus and just poke around. The hardest part is keeping your hands still enough aim accurately. Documenting which patterns work also helps. The Black Music Box is better than the nameless guitar because it can make the same sounds, and enhance them. You can change the pitch, speed, and distort the sound more than it already is!!!. Also is has multiple user interface options. It's way cooler. Although the nameless guitar did look cooler. I like the Black Box better.
