The Scenes

This is a prototype for one of the backgrounds for the game. This is the Labyrinth Entrance.

This is an Artist Rendition of the Sand Room.

Set Design

The Labyrinth or game world itself consists of a finite number of objects which we will call rooms. These rooms can be categorized into non-interactive and interactive rooms.

Non-interactive rooms do not have a puzzle in them, however, they may have certain NPC's (Non Player Characters) with which the player can talk to, and may be essential to quests.

There are 5 non-interactive rooms in the Labyrinth. They are as follows:

1. Labyrinth Entrance
2. Daedalus' Room
3. Icarus' Room
4. Horizontal Corridor
5. Vertical Corridor

Interactive rooms have a puzzle in them that requires solving before the player can proceed any further into the game. There are 6 interactive rooms in the Labyrinth. They are as follows:

1. Minotaurs' Antechamber
2. The Sand Room
3. The Underground Lake Room
4. The Torture Chamber
5. The Armory/Treasure Room
6. The Pit

Descriptions of the rooms...

Labyrinth Entrance:
This room isnon-interactive, and is the starting point for Theseus in the game.It is a dark, cavernous room, with light coming in from the entrance/exit of the Labyrinth. There are also some torches in sconces on the walls.

Daedalus’ Room:
This room is non-interactive, and is where you will find the character Daedalus. The room is well lit by torches, and the place is cluttered with all sorts of papers and gadgets, and models, and other assorted things.A mad scientist’s laboratory in Ancient Greece.

Icarus’ Room:
This room is non-interactive, and is where you will encounter the character Icarus. The room is poorly lit, and Icarus is hanging by his feet in a snare trap. The room is almost completely bare except for a few bones and some vegetation such as moss and fungi.

Horizontal corridor:
This room is non-interactive, and consists only of a small, narrow,
horizontal passageway lit by torches.

Vertical corridor:
This room is non-interactive, and consists of only a small, narrow, vertical
passageway lit by torches.

Minotaur’s Antechamber:
The room right before the Minotaur’s lair. The entrance to the
Minotaur’s lair is blocked by a large gate, which requires a puzzle to be solved in order to open it.The room is well lit,and is very fancy, looking very similar to the castle Knossos above ground.

The Sand Room:
This room is well lit by torches, and is filled with sand.Amongst the sand
are many clay pots, vases, hydrias, and amphoras. There is also a large kylix on a pedestal in the middle of the room.

Underground Lake Room:
This room has no torches, but is lit by iridescent mushrooms, and
a light coming from under the water. There are also some frogs which are hopping from stone to stone in the middle of the lake.

Torture Chamber:
This room is dimly lit by torches. It is very dirty and looks like it hasn’t
been used in a long time. There are LOTS of skeletons and bones lying around the room, as well as some torture implements and devices.

Armory/Treasure Room:
This room is full of weapon racks that hold old, rusty weapons like
spears and swords. There are also several chests in the room, most of which are empty or rotted away, but one that still locked.

The Pit:
This room holds a large pit.Above the pit is a large cage suspended by a rope. In
the cage are the 7 female and 6 male youths to be sacrificed to the Minotaur. The room is well lit.
