Here is a list of the tools I used for my different projects.
Tools used for "Reflections":
I used your basic hammer, super glue, paint brush and black paint. I used heavy cardboard for it's durability and also it's light weight. I wanted them to be black because I didn't want a bright color to distract from the project itself. I couldn't find any thick cardboard in black so I decided to paint the pieces I bought. I also used to plain full mirrors that you would normally hang in a bathroom and I hammered them into small pieces. I used a razor to cut the boards into the strips I wanted and then I attached the mirrors by using simple super glue.
Tools used for "Symmetry in Nature":
I purchased a Nikkon N60 for this project. I chose Nikkon because they have a good reputation and because my mother has had her's for over 20 years with no problems. Plus, now we can share lenses. I could've purchased an N80, which is a professional-like camera, but mine was more than enough considering I had little to no experience with a nice camera. I used Kodak film for all of the photos. And as I listed on the page for the project I used sheets of mirror, which I cut with a mirror cutter, and Pringle's cans to construct the viewing tubes themselves.
