title: About - content: I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. I am twenty two years old. I am trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, which terrifies and excites me. I am full of pent-up restlessness that I am trying to figure out how to direct into productivity and proactivity. I have too many ideas that I do not know what to do with. I am ready for new things. Why me? because I have a different perspective, because I thrive on thinking differently, and because I believe in the power of ideas; because I have the ideas and the technical aptitude to back it up.

More? I have been designing websites since I was 12 years old. Ever since the early days of my web designing with Geocities and Angelfire, I would find myself spending hours learning about HTML and CSS, creating websites where visitors could submit photo manipulations to contests that I would hold or offer my Photoshopping services to make free buttons or banners for their own personal websites. I never thought of my hobby as something that I would pursue as a career, but recent introspective dialogues have led me to ask, "Why not?"

While this self-realization may have bad timing since I have just completed a degree in civil engineering, I feel it would be a disservice to myself if I didn't try it out. I have taken the first steps in this path by interning at various web-related companies and I already find myself constantly thinking about the projects I'm working on after I log off at the end of the day. I find myself surfing the web and feel like I'm breaking the fourth wall when I observe myself as a site user and consumer and I find it fascinating.

What I hope for the future is that I can find opportunities to pursue this dream more fully. What I can say with certainty is that I am excited to see what comes next.
