LeT TOP
I like to write letters. But thinking all the effort I need to make to write a letter...
1- Find a paper (in some cases, find a second, third paper).
2- Find a pen.
3- Find a mood and then write.
4- Find an envelope and a (2?) stamp/s.
5- Walk to the post box...go out of the house, place the envelope into the box..
6- Lift the flag...( I am not even talking about going to the post office).
Instead of dealing with all these, there is a practical (yet, less romantic) way of communicating: Writing e-mails.
Then this laziness resulted in the idea of creating a LET TOP, which would be the rival of the LAP TOP, not the source, yet the supporter of my laziness.
I wanted my lap top to:
1- Be like a lap top. That's why i chose the grey metal, as the main material.
2- Be practical and portable.
3- Include all the materials required to write and send a letter.
And here we go.
It was my first time in a physics lab. My friend, Jakup from the physics department helped me a lot. He was very patient! Jakup, Czech Republic is proud of you, the Einstein. Thank you.
When i first began, i had these "raw' materials. To connect the two metal pieces did not take a lot of time, as i thought before.
But dealing with this machine... It was worse than I thought! These weird pieces above did everything except sticking to the metal. It took more than 2 hours to figure out a solution. Finally, I ended in the most logical way: two sided band.
FFinally, there were not many things left. I placed the little sticks where I would put the pen&pencil, envelopes, stamps, alternative letter beginnings, zip codes in the U.S. and a little flag to be used when one is too lazy to put it into the box office. He can lift the flag and place it outside the lettop so that the next time he sees the lettop, he can remember that he is supposed to put it in the post box.
