In my first project in the TRANS class, I decided to showcase women because I feel like we are very pressured to conform to a stereotype of perfection. This is a collage of short clips of different females releasing emotion or grasping freedom in a moment of positive change. Some girls chose to express personal identity or show a realization that they do not have to be conventional.

Everyone wore the same white slip when I filmed their "moment." I didn't wash it so that the dress would change with each individual's action. That way, the dress became a tangible version of the emotional process all the ladies went through... a dirty, smelly, lovely token of life and change.
