This was an oil painting I did, which I scanned then animated frame by frame to dissolve into itself.  The idea was for the change to be very subtle at first, then to speed up, slow down, and loop a bit before the whole cycle began again.  This is the sort of animated art that I see eventually replacing static art that hangs on the wall, once thin OLED screens become cheaper and commercially available.
