Tray Duncan
Tray is always trying to reach someplace he hasn't been before in each
of his projects. This class project gave Tray a way to expand his
talents. He chose to do his project with 3-D animation, so a learning
curve set the pace of his work. He learned the programs and has created
a work that can confidently be described as fabulous. He worked in
close contact with Henry Gayden to match the class story with that of
his own. His piece runs as a backbone for the entire project. Even
though he was diligent in creating something that fit well with the
whole project, it was important to also create something that can serve
as a stand alone piece. Tray was able to create a world that was
inhabited by an abstract form of people. The inspiration of the world
came from personal dreams that he had and from there were developed
into an entire world. He not only used his subconscious, but also his
imagination to tell a story through visual means. He sketched out his
thoughts and bit by bit had more than he knew what to work with and not
enough time to work with it. It's unfortunate that all his work from
this original idea won't be displayed, but Tray is confident that it
won't go to waste. Tray plans to use some of the extra work as a start
for another, larger project. Upon commenting about the work that we've
created, "...you have to be a dictator to get quality work done, and I
think we started on the right track."
