My work on my final project can probably be attributed to the fact that I have lately been watching many zombie films, I had a couple of dreams about zombies, and I have been reading The Walking Dead, a graphic novel series (the first issue is currently available to read online on the official site as linked above). A common element in zombie related work, should it choose to be more than just brainless action, is one where the creator examines the people who are battling against the zombies. Often they use this situation to create cultural commentary, where the people realize that they are not truly living and that they, in fact, are the zombies, they are the walking dead.

So, with that in mind, I created another audio collage, like the one I created for project two, only with a bit more directed focus. I attempted to keep the samples a bit more directed, and combined them with video I crafted together with archive footage. The video's content juxtaposes images of war, soldiers, zombies, and industrial machinery. Combined with the audio, the two serve as cultural commentary upon living life as part of the walking dead, the workforce, wasting away life as just another cog in the great machine.
