One-man chorus

 

 

 

Just as my other projects this semester, my final project was primarily an audio piece with a visual component added later. I manipulated audio footage from a recording of famous documentarian, Fredrick Wiseman as recorded by the UT Master Class. I cut out his unique grunts, moans, and various phrases and incorporated them into a stereo-mixed audio piece. I was going for somewhat of a feeling of sensory overload. I also recorded myself playing acoustic guitar, sampling and remixing it into a supporting music track. I compiled the visuals by finding photos taken through people's peepholes from the internet and used Adobe After Affects to zoom through the photos. I ended up quite pleased with my results.
