I have chosen once again a text based community. This one is what's called a Community Weblog. It serves as a venue for people to vent, analyze, and share unique things that they find on the web. Stories range from new technology developments, music, art, religion, philosophy, etc... Obviously, current political issues are a popular topic.

Metafilter serves as a homebase for people living in a world centered around the internet. This is what I consider a virtual community to be.
