3 day road trip to Los Angeles with my mom and grandma, Peggy.
Each day was themed. My day was our trip to Roswell, New Mexico to see the aliens, so obviously my theme was aliens. We listened to a great audio book called The Greys and revisited my childhood favorite A Wrinkle In Time. Roswell was pretty lame but at least now I can say I’ve been to the alien museum. Life long goal... accomplished!
The next day was Peggy’s theme, earth science. We went to the painted desert, the meteor crater, the petrified forest and ended up at the Grand Canyon. All were great but we were getting kinda tired of each other by this point!
The Grand Canyon was AMAZING! We didn’t get there in time to see it the second day of our trip, so we decided to wake up early the following day to see it during sunrise! AWESOME! and i made friends with some local elk that were hangin out on the road. We’re pretty much best friends now. Their names are Larry, Micha, Charlton, and Jamiroqoi.
Oh yeah! At the Grand Canyon we ate at this nice hotel (famous first hotel built in the area) and a freakin raccoon snuck into the dining area! I saw it scurrying about in the rafters... gross and cool at the same time.
Then we arrived in Los Angeles and continued our themed days (but at this point i lose track of which is which). We did the usual tourist shit but we also got to eat at Spago, Wolfgang Puck’s first restaurant. Best meal of my freaking life! I had the cantonese style duck with lo mein, the sushi, and some good dessert that i’m forgetting to name.
