The Wondrous World of Me

As a senior here in Austin, I spend my time trying to have fun and learning new things. I absolutely love Austin and UT! I really do bleed burnt orange!

 

This past summer, I studied abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and travelled around Europe. This experience changed my life! After graduation, I am taking a 25-day tour of Europe because I loved it so much! I also love trying new things and going on adventures with family and friends.

 

I decided to take this class, Weird Science, to stretch my limits and to foster my creativity. As a Plan II major, I spend a lot of time presenting my work in the form of papers. This class forces me to think how to present interesting work and projects in unconventional ways, even forbidding the use of papers. While it has definitely been a challenge, it is also a rewarding experience!

 

I am also currently in the first semester of researching (and eventually, next semester) writing my senior thesis. I am exploring the different identities in Belfast as seen through such popular culture as murals and sports.

 

Once I graduate, I plan to work for at least a year and then sometime in the near future go to law school, where I think I can combine my strong reasoning skills with creativity and find new challenges.

 

So that’s my life right now in a nutshell! Of course I left out the guitar hero jam sessions, the Wii tennis matches, the amateur karaoke nights, and the day-to-day procrastination! Hook ‘em horns!
