Project Iv-Interactive Body
Inner Body: My first experiment involved what I like to call an "inner-body" experience. My goal was to allow a viewer to enter into my body and see things from my perspective.
I recently purchased a pair of Eye Trek glasses, which allows a user to view a 62 inch screen without really having a 62 inch screen. The glasses were designed to accompany portable DVD players, but I thought it's uses could far surpass being labeled as an executive's play toy. I wanted to hook the glasses up to a Canon Optura Pi (another recent purchase) to let a viewer see through my eyes. My first problem was getting the Eye Trek hooked up with the camera. After careful consideration and a Radio Shack employee, my set up was complete.
My next step involved location scouting. I needed to figure out where I was going to shoot. I ran into a slight problem, because of some mirrors in my room and in the stair-well. I knew I had to move in certain directions so the camera wouldn't be caught on tape and ruin the scene.
