SELF DESTROYED BODY

This body is in a trapped sort of pose, like a mime inside of his invisible box. It is also stretched out to represent how trouble often forces us to stretch ourselves. I took the silhouette, and ripped it up into several pieces, crumpled it up, and then taped it back together. Basically, the message is that, not only are there prices to pay that come from society, but that wrong doing is also self-destructive. (Now, I don't want this to sound preachy, I am use the term "wrongdoing" very broadly. There are many basic things that most everyone considers wrong. But here, I also mean whether or not you should have taken some extra time to help someone out that day. I mean, it probably won't ruin your life because you didn't hold a door open for a stranger, but it certainly doesn't help.) Anyway, like in the previous silhouette, there is always a way out. There is a way to repair yourself, if you have the right tape, whatever your tape is. Also, there is a single piece that I chose not to crumple up, because I wanted to say that you don't ever destroy yourself completely, there is always a remnant intact.
