MY CHRISTIAN BODY

After having made the other silhouettes, I decided to show where I got my sense of what I should do. That is from the Bible, and from the teachings of Jesus, which I consider to be the most important thing in my life. Now, of course I never live up to those teachings, but in trying, I hope I am a better person. The position is one of prayer, with the cross (as a symbol of Christ) being a lamp at my feet, from where I get my enlightenment. The text inside the body is 1 Corinthians 12, which basically describes the Christians as a whole as being "the body of Christ" with Jesus at the head. It talks about how each part of the body is important, and relies on all of the other parts. When I was taking the photograph, I needed to stop the edges from curling, and by coincidence, those are the "Jesus candles" that have been in the lab all semester.
