This is a leopard figurine I carved form hard wood to represent

my personal object of power

I learned how to carve figurines when I was very young.

My father and Iused to carve small animals out of bars of soap.

An average I make about three figurines per year, some take

me months to finish while others may take only a few days.

It depends entirely on the motivation.

The process is fairly straight foward. First, using electric tools

I cut the wood to a manageable size. Next, I whittle the wood

away till I reach a desired shape. After that, I sand the object

and cut away sections with a very sharp thin blade knife.

I and some more , and some more, and, you get the idea.
