For this inclass activity, we had a nude model come in and pose for us. The following are the sketches I made, during this session. The session lasted about 2 hours :)

 

 

 

 

I really like this sketch. I used graphite sticks to make this sketch. Once the sketch was done, I rubbed the graphite stick all over the paper to give it that dirty effect.

I thought I try a theme of absence with this sketch. Therefore, I left out one leg and one arm. I tried to manipulate her body. If you notice the nose is shaped like a cone, the eyes like polygons, the mouth like a trapezium, the stomache like a square and the arm and leg are rectangles.

For this sketch i left out the portion above her waist, and I also left out her feet. There's nothing much else to say about it, except that i used a combination of a pencil and graphite stick to do this.

I totally manipulated the idea of a body here. Once again I used basic geometrical shapes to substitute various parts of the body. I also tried to tie technology with her body. The body looks mechanical, like a robot

 

I really like this sketch as well. She was holding a wooden stick in this pose. I tried to capture her outline, again using the theme of absence (missing head). I drew this with a pencil, and a graphite stick to highlight certain regions.
