Here is something fun to try. Instead of our cumbersome tradition of using all different vowels, dipthongs, and assorted other annoyances, it can be quite illuminating to stick to one vowel and to explore. See the following examples:

Loove oos looke oo boottoorfloo,

Oos sooft oond goontloo oos oo soogh --

Thoo mooltoo-cooloored moods oof loove

Oore looke oots sootoon woongs.

Loove mookes yoo fool stroonge oonsoode --

Oot floottoors looke sooft woongs oon flooght.

Oo roore oond goontloo thoong.

I now experiment with the vowel-consonant combination oll -- which, by the way, in my Buffalonian dialect, is a radically different and much more interesting/grating sound than the all in call.
