This is extremely disgusting...

I've always been intrigued by the "high" that supposedly accompanys
anorexic behavior. Something about the human body releasing extra
endorphines to compensate for a lack of nutrients. This makes sense
considering how CONFIDENT Ms. Rebecca looks for a starving person. Also
as a former overweight person I can attest to the feeling(s) of
empowerment that not eating can bring...

I can't help but take the easy way out in thinking that eating disorders
are the bi-products of an overcommercialized society w/ too much time on
its hands. After all, the teenage girls Lindsey's referring to are
probably not ones who have a lot of other survival-oriented issues to
worry about in their everyday lives. Self-induced trauma (i.e.
starvation) is always a great way to collect and process free-floating
anxiety.

Regardless, people like Rebecca Stamos need a perspective change bad.
