     Sandy,

Yes that's correct, the entry list that we have been circulating was
prepared in November 98, before Tara's having discussed a single broad
     entry on transgender with you.

Entries that were introduced more recently - especially where we have
reviewed coverage in the fields of gender and sexuality - are being
co-ordinated by Tara Montgomery (hence her identification as Topic
Editor), although Dianne Forte, the Topic Editor for Health and
Sexuality, as well as Cheris Kramarae, will be sent the Transgender
     entry to review.

     Please excuse the confusion.

     I hope all goes well,

     Virginia

Hi Virginia,

I received the author's packet for the Routledge Encyclopedia of Women's Studies
today. I notice that the preliminary alphabetical list does not include
Transgender, and assume this is because the list was printed before our
arrangements were final.

The instruction sheet directs me to send the article to my Topic Editor. Please
clarify who that is. I'd thought it was Tara Montgomery, but now see that she
is
Managing Editor.

Best wishes,
Sandy Stone
