Hey All,
Since there are a couple Kestrel wind meters in the......I almost
said club, 30 lashes!....group, one person could stay at Sunset and the
other can tape one on the long mast and hold it up. They could
communicate with cell phones and compare readings. Also I would put a
streamer on the pole under the Kestrel to watch the wind flow and see if
it's busted up or smooth. Any reading that's within a few mph should be
close enough. Obviously the reading at Sandy's would have to be made
quick since as soon at the Kestrel is out of the wind it will start to
lose speed. Maybe the streamer will give the best indication of being in
a rotor.
