Hi Sara & Rest,
My name's David DeMumbrum and I am a fifth year transfer student in
the RTF--New Media department. I have a tendency to sit in the back of
the room (towards the door) because our class is HUGE and I usually end
up coming in late.
Like you, I am also very interested in performance and I have a bit
of experience with new media production as well. One of my ideas is to
design a highly immersive performative environment using audio feedback
loops to repeat and amplify bodily sounds. I want to create a spectacle
with little or no escape, and I want everyone in the ACTLab to be an
active participant.
Another idea is fuse the vigorous washing of a human body (possibly
NATHAN'S!) with sexually explicit R&B music and images of busy public
laundromats. This could be accomplished with video, live multimedia
performance, or any other way you can think of.
If you or anyone else in the class is interested please drop me a
line. Thanks.

-David
