hello, everyone.
my name is amy gill and I am also an rtf senior. I
have spent the last three years in the rtf department
sort of picking and choosing classes. currently, the
main focus has been on video editing and
postproduction. I do not have much experience with
new media but I would like to learn more. I am
particularly fascinated with the concept of online
communities in which gender is not an issue (or is it
still?). I am taking this class because I was first
introduced to feminist film theory and gender studies
last semester, and I would love the opportunity to
converse with others who are open to possibilities
beyond the traditional strict gender dichotomies
(which I assume is you all since you are still in this
class). I haven't yet decided on a format for my
final project. I am interested in documentary,
experimental video, and performance, so maybe a
combination of all three. I would like to focus on
the sometimes alienation of bisexuality from both
hetero- and gay/lesbian communities.
