hi! my name's freddie. i am an rtf senior with dreams of directing
music videos and motion pictures and writing super hero comicbooks.
ultimately, i just want be established enough to do whatever i want
that is creative and somehow connected to the entertainment field.
this class interested me cuz i have never been what i am "supposed to
be" when it comes to a lot of things, but especially gender. not only
am i left-handed and latino, but i have never fit the mold as what a
male is supposed to be. i was never really into sports and i'm skinny.
u get my point.
when i was younger i was sometimes mistaken for being female (don't ask
me why). i was also mistaken for being female a few years back when i
had longer hair. i used to have a hang-up about it when i was younger,
but now i'm okay with my androgynous qualities, which to be honest i
don't feel are that extreme, but i don't doubt that i do have some
androgyny going on.
I guess all these reasons and more are why i was drawn to this class.
now on to my project:
i would like to do an androgyne fashion show. i wouldn't mind help
from the class. basically, i want to design the clothes, buy the
material, and have someone else sew them. but i am willing to
colloborate or plan/organize with others. it's a pretty huge
undertaking, so it would probably be better if i had some help.
not sure yet if i want make people androgynous or just find people that
are already androgynous. if anyone in the class wants to model for me,
i'd be very happy to have you.
so if you interested please contact me personally at
alfredor@mail.utexas.edu or call me at 495-2319.
my apologies for this message being so damn long.
freddie.
