Hi Folks,

Just thought you'd like to know that Upside Magazine is carrying a 1/3 page
ad for Pop!Tech in its September issue. There'll also be an ad in the Sept.
22nd issue of Interactive Week.

Registration is proceeding quite nicely. You're going to speaking to a
pretty elite crowd, all of whom are eager to hear what you have to say. At
the same time, we still have a few discount seats left for your friends,
colleagues and family members (outside of your significant other, who's
free). The cost is just $495--half price. Tell them to use this code when
registering on www.camcon.org: 1112.

Hurricane Floyd is chugging into Maine tonight. We expect a bit of a blow
and a good watering, but nothing more. Hurricanes never make it this far
north without petering out. Also, we don't get tornadoes here, nor
earthquakes. Even forest fires are mighty rare. In fact, I can pretty much
assure you that the only real danger you'll face when you're here is the
possibility of overeating.

During the next couple of days, I'll be writing each of you separately to
nail down your topic and the time/date of your session. Meanwhile, I would
ask all of you who haven't reserved accomodations here--and you know who
you are--to promptly get in touch with our esteemed Barbara Shotwell, at
<bshotwell@worldnet.att.net>. She'll fix you up in a jiffy.

By the way, I hope you're planning to come as early as possible and stay as
late as possible. We're having a spectacular reception Thursday evening,
Oct. 21 and I understand that the conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra
will be putting on a concert at our other opera house, in Rockport, on
Sunday afternoon, Oct. 24.

Our conference will be closing at about 12:30 p.m. that same day, with one
of Bob Metcalfe's legendary summations. He has what we Mainers call a
"wicked good" sense of humor. You will probably want to be on hand to add
to or dispute his version of what you've said.

See you all about five weeks from now!

Best regards,

Harvey
