The solution is to use hypermail to build a web-based threaded archive of the
lists. Each class should have an announce and discussion list.
(RTFxxx-discuss@actlab and RFTxxx-announce@actlab). The students can choose
not to receive the class discussion list.
While hunting for the hypermail source and compiling is non-trivial, it's A LOT
better than going backwards to Forum. Logging into a bbs and reading
subscriptions is a very inconvenient way to read the same MASS of mail.
Ultimately, they should learn how to filter and sort, but in the mean time,
providing an hypermail achive accommodates all users--the mail-savvy and the
cry babies :-)
