I wanted to make a functional claymation figure this time, however, I felt repeating my first project in a successful way wasn’t sufficient so i wanted to make more.
So I made a new claymation figure out of steel wire, a little less than half the size of my first figure; same process as my first project. I also made an abstract sculpture. I glued some pieces of wood together and made a plat with a stand, and then I started to make a kind of tree and worked my way from there. I had a lot of cat hair that I made into a ball and had some steel wires hold it in place. I also found a great acorn that made its way into the piece.
I really love abstract creation. It is really a black box for me. I don't know what will happen when i start drawing, or this case, what this sculpture would become. I had a vague almost inaudible shape within my head that i just went with, not knowing what it really ment or what it was.
I feel this is a kind of innate science to mankind, certainly a weird science. The process of creation isn’t logical at all. You can't produce creativity. It just happens.
I think it reveals the real chaos that we exist within. |
