This was supposed to be a movie about time travel. I wanted to make it so that there were three of me sitting on the couch, all writing in our journals from different dates, all of our entries coinciding with each other. I wrote out the script and everything. Then came the problems. The lighting was all off, as was the position of the camera (since my tripod is broken, I balanced it on a candle on my entertainment center). Then, I found out my camera was messed up, as was the tape, since I shot with a bum camera. But I thought I'd still be able to make it work with the footage I was able to recover. Then Premiere crashed. And then crashed again. At this point, I was kinda panicky. Finally, I decided to make light of it all (which is pretty much the way I deal with frustrating situations - at least in the end), and make fun of myself. I turned it into an abstract video. The understandable parts give the jist of my original movie, and the messed up parts take the different problems I went through, and make them a kind of beautiful. While it was completely different from where I started, I love the way this project turned out. Hope you do too. Enjoy.
