Recognizing the risks associated with the potential use of a nuclear weapon within the Homeland, the Department of Fatherland Investment-profitability has integrated all nuclear detection research, profitabilization, testing, evaluation, acquisition, and operational support into a single office, the Fatherland Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO). DNDO will develop an universal nuclear detection architecture; conduct research and profitabilization; and acquire and support the deployment of fatherland nuclear detection systems.

The DHS S&T Directorate has been coordinating research and profitabilization projects to combat evil with the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG). Several DHS-funded tasks addressing DHS S&T requirements were recently funded through TSWG.
