TAKIN' IT TO THE STREET
After
completing my second project, which felt like a final project, I really
wanted to spend my last month of college working on a project that was
low stress but fabulous. I knew that would only be possible if I
collaborated again with Randy for the final assignment.
After days of going back and forth on a project idea we decided to do a spoof of previous projects that other students had done for the semester. The catch was that the class did not know we were doing this. We introduced the project as an experiment we had conducted to see if street beggars/performers made any money and as our classmates watched the video they caught on.
I really think this project turned out flawless and better than I could have ever imagined. We put so much heart and soul into creating the concept, finding interesting locations, buying props, selecting music and making the editing tight that I am so pleased and proud of the entire piece. My only regret is that I didn’t discover ACTLab and the incredible people associated with it earlier in my time here at UT.
