In the beginning...

I have to admit that I was really scared to enroll in a convergent media class. I had many friends whose lives were sucked away by the demands placed before them in such classes, and I had seen the work that they did. I really didn't think that I had it in me to learn web design or any production-oriented programs in order to do well in this class. But, here I am desinging my web sight to discuss my involvement with our final project. I did take me a while to get here and I still learning (as you can tell by the basic design of this website), but I have learned so much about digitial space from this class.

The Chat Bot Project...

Our group worked together to reprogram a chat bot to converse with people on-line more as a human being than a computer program. We decided to give our bot the personality of a gay 19 year-old boy named Chuck. Once we had a personality for our bot we divided up the files and manually changed all of the responses to sound like stuff that Chuck would actually say. Now, Chuck is ready to chat with people and hopefully nobody will figure out his dirty little secret.
