By mid-afternoon, Rachel touches up the wardrobes of the virtual people in her holographic
scenario to make sure their knees do not poke out of their pants. She uses a L1STSM
in order to create an engaging environment that she then sells to her distributor,
Millennium D.
"Hey, Rachel?"
"Yes, Fred?"
"You asked me to remind you to talk to Charles."
"Hello Rachel. That machine of yours has got..."
"Yeah, I know.. Let's do the deal."
"Great. I'll get you your money and begin generating a commission
for you, as soon as you up it."
Once the scenario has been uploaded, other "visitors" can choose to experience the story
by paying for the right to interact with it. The interactive agent Millennium D
receives her work and finds subscribers. After the processing of the data, Rachel's
commission generated for her work is deposited into her account.
After having a short conversation with Fred, Rachel finishes her work for the day. Her deadline
forced her to work 100 hours over five days, but the paid-time-off owed to her after the
project's completion allows her to spend with her beau, Charles.
"Ahh, this should relax me, Fred."
"Hey, Rachel, this omnipresent life is so wonderfully fun. I'm neither
here nor there."
"Yeah, yeah, why don't you chill your circuits and give me your opinion on the show."
"I don't have the capacity."
"Are you implying I have bad taste?! Let's see, where are your humor preferences
again?"
Rachel is now at the concert she wished to see. As most users in the environment are holographs,
their visibility to each other is relative to whether they want to be seen and if others want
to see them.
"Uh... Rachel, you asked me to remind myself to re-remind you to talk with Charles, if you somehow
forgot about it."
"Thanks, Fred. I really must do that, but first, I'd like to relax here for a moment. Hmm, I
want to change my view somehow... Someone seems to be obstructing it."
The concert stage is wherever the viewer is. Rachel does not have to idly absorb content, she
can actively design it. She can interact with the concert and create her own music, see it from
any perspective, and select its venue. However, she is too exhausted and so she just watches.
Arguably the music is very limited and certainly not the penultimate of future soundbreaking,
but hey, it's no 8-Track.
Stage View
The stage view provides a look at the ostentatious, attention mongering individual who's
plays air. Basically, this person plays several different programs simultaneously. In Rachel's
case, these programs are invisible because this musician doesn't want anyone else to learn
about how he is creating his sound, so he neglects to transmit the images of the programs that
he plays on.
Fred: "He must think he's cool, but we know better, don't we, Rachel?"
Rachel: "Quiet, you."
Communication
"Hi Rachel, it's nice to know you exist. Jesse's been checking the local ER
reports to make sure you were still alive."
"Really, Charles! I've just wound down from some tough stuff, but I'm very happy to see you, too, so there!"
"Hmm, well that's a start."
"Argh! I want to see you, too, but I may have something else to do before I can."
"Oh sure fine...sniff sniff (insert fake crying sounds)."
The Kiss
"Oh stop that! Come over here."
"SMACK"
"Forget all of this technology. It can't define me, I won't let it. I'm coming over right now, Charles."
"Hey, Fred, when did she last call it quits?"
"That information is confidential, Charles. Ask it another way, and I may tell you."
"Fred, why don't you 'sleep,' now?"
"Uh oh..."
Something about a preview.

The floating interface provides a scalable level of physicality. It also provides the avenue
through which the holographs of users can meet. Therefore, when Rachel and Charles kiss, they
are putting a slight amount of pressure on their own screens. However, this is no substitute
for the real thing.
#Millennium Dome
Millennium Dome, in Greenwich, England, Earth.
The millennium dome was built with $1 billion of the public money for a select group of people
to celebrate the millennium in. After this event, it became a storage facility by order of the
British monarchy. Through the years, the dome has shifted goals and become a repository for
scenarios and virtual environments.
