About 5 weeks prior to finals my workload for school really picked up as I wrapped up my academic career at UT. My inpiration for this project came from long sleepless nights spent studying and working on projects. So I wasn't left in complete silence, I had the TV on in the background.

Of course, the majority of the programs were infomercials for some of the most outlandish things that you never thought you would need. I wondered what the modern dreamcatcher would be like. I went with the design of glove atop a long base because it looked like an arm that I could manipulate to "grab" dreams with stop motion. Thus, the product was born "The Dreamcatcher 3000".

I knew that I wanted to market it as a basic infomercial, but with a 1950s feel. A lot of the film, PSAs, and commercials from "back in the day" seem corny to the modern audience, but back then, their nonsubtle marketing hooks would really get things sold.

I shot the above commercial with a Sony DCVR-TRV camera and a two-light set-up (One tungsten light, and one blue-natural light). The music is a very old radio song from the forties that was "cleaned up" by some "old radio" aficionados in Great Britain that wish to share their love for "old radio" with the world.

I hope you are hungry cause its cheesy! Enjoy!!
