The game port connector to the right of the paddle was perhaps one of the most difficult parts of this project - Rather than trying to solder the gameport wires directly to the atari motherboard, we thought that it would be easier to cut the game port off the board as gently as possible with the dremel and try to solder wires directly to the gameport's pins. However, the process was still a trying one. A pin-out diagram from google sped things along with information as to what type of input each pin responds to. |
