When you close your eyes in the night you are able to see little dots and flashes. Those are remains of the light and images that you see before you fall sleep.
I painted 75 color canson paper sheets (50 black and 25 red). The technique was spraying white watercolor with a toothbrush on the paper randomly, but having some pages simpler than others.

After that I number the pages in order from the simpler to the most complex.
Then I digitalized the paintings into the computer and edit the images as a sequence in the final cut, to animate the pictures. Besides the order given before, I played with the patterns in the editing, to have diferent rythms of images.
After finishing the secuence, I asked to my friends Matt and Jon to play sounds: Matt with the jukebox and Jon with the violin.
So, there you go... |
