The idea came from the visual concept of insomnia.
When you close your eyes in the night you are able to see little dots and flashes. Those are remains of the light and images that you see before you fall sleep.
I painted 75 color canson paper sheets (50 black and 25 red). The technique was spraying white watercolor with a toothbrush on the paper randomly, but having some pages simpler than others.
On some pages I had this little bubbles of watercolor paint. I grabbed an orange stick and spread the bubbles on the paper for having this wierd octopus or braincell form |
